The Naturally Healthy initiative is a joint effort by the Devon Local Nature Partnership and Active Devon. It’s all about inspiring everyone to get outside, get active, and experience the powerful benefits of nature and movement for our health and wellbeing.

Naturally Healthy May

May is the perfect month to enjoy the fresh air and vibrant energy of spring. That’s why we’ve made it our official campaign month, dedicated to encouraging people across Devon to connect with nature and be more active outdoors.

Throughout May, Active Devon, Devon County Council, and the Devon Local Nature Partnership will be sharing inspiring ‘Naturally Healthy’ ideas, tips, and resources on social media. We’ll also be working with partner organisations to spread the word, host events, and offer activities that help everyone enjoy the great outdoors.

Looking for inspiration? Check out our suggestions below, on the Active Devon website and the Explore Devon website for ideas on how to make the most of your time outside.

Smart Steps for a Great Day Out

Get outside and enjoy nature – just remember to #BeTickAware. Ticks live in grassy and wooded areas and can carry diseases like Lyme disease. Learn how to protect yourself and others with the UKHSA #BeTickAware guide.

And don’t forget to check the weather and pack the essentials – water, sun cream, and a hat!
